Degreaser is a heavy-duty oil and grease remover for concrete floors - the essential first step before coating any garage or workshop slab. Epoxy will not bond to a contaminated surface, and garage floors are almost always contaminated where the car sits, so proper degreasing is what stands between you and a floor that peels.
This concentrated cleaner cuts through engine oil, grease, brake fluid and general grime, lifting contaminants out of the concrete so your garage floor epoxy can bond to a clean surface. Use it before etching as part of your prep routine.
How to use
- Sweep the floor and remove loose debris
- Apply the degreaser and scrub, concentrating on oil-stained areas under the car
- Rinse thoroughly and allow to dry before etching with Etch & Clean
Pay particular attention to stubborn, long-standing oil patches - they are the most common cause of adhesion problems. For the full prep sequence, follow up with our Etch & Clean before priming and coating.
