  • 1× Primer Kit — 1.65L single · 3.3L double
  • 1× Coloured Base Coat Kit — 2.5L single · 5L double
  • 1× Clear Coat Kit — 2L single · 4L double

Single-garage kits cover approximately 15–20m² and double-garage kits 35–40m², depending on concrete porosity and texture.

For a clean, modern, uniform finish, the DIY Plain Colour Epoxy Floor Kit from DIY Epoxy Australia is the simplest way to transform a garage floor. This complete epoxy floor kit coats tired, plain concrete in a smooth, solid colour that is hard-wearing, easy to sweep and mop, and built to handle hot tyres, oil, dropped tools and daily traffic.

A plain colour garage floor epoxy gives the cleanest, smoothest look - ideal for modern garages, workshops and sheds where you want a uniform finish rather than the decorative flake texture. (Planning to wash the car or work in wet conditions? Add our Slip Reducing Additive to the top coat for extra grip.)

You can save thousands installing it yourself instead of hiring a professional, and our easy 3-step installation manual covers every stage. Phone support is available if you need a hand. Suitable for bare concrete and most masonry surfaces, internal or external.

Oversized kits with ample material - the best priced, complete epoxy floor system on the market.

Built for first-timers, not just the trade

Commercial suppliers will sell to you, but the products just aren’t user friendly. With short work times of 20 minutes or less and thick, hard-to-apply coatings, your chances of success are much better with our user-friendly coatings. With over an hour of work time and easy application using just a paint roller, a perfect finish is easily achievable.

Plain colour vs flake

Choose plain colour for the smoothest, most modern, easiest-to-clean finish. Prefer to hide slab imperfections and add built-in grip? Our DIY Epoxy Flake Floor Kit is the decorative alternative. Both use the same proven system and roll on over a weekend.

A single garage is typically 18-21m² and a double 36-40m², so measure yours first: up to 20m² suits the 0-20m² kit, anything bigger the 20-40m² kit. Not sure which size to order? See our coverage guide or send us your measurements and we'll help you choose.

Planning your install

How hard is it?
DIY-friendly. Rolls on with standard tools - the 3-step manual walks you through each stage, and phone support is a call away if you get stuck.
Epoxy or polyurethane?
Both. It is a hybrid system: a two-pack epoxy primer that seals and bonds the slab, then two-pack water-based polyurethane colour and clear coats. The polyurethane coats are UV stable, so the floor won't yellow the way epoxy top coats can, and the kit suits outdoor areas as well as garages.
Time on the tools
About 10 hours of work spread over 3-4 days: etch and patch day 1, prime and base coat after the slab dries, clear coat the day after.
When can I use the floor?
Light foot traffic after about 2 days. Give it up to a week before parking the car so the coating reaches full hardness.
Which size kit?
Measure length × width. Up to 20m²: the 0-20m² kit. Over 20m²: the 20-40m² kit. Most single garages are 18-21m², so measure first - and size up if you're close to 20m² or the slab is porous. Most double garages (36-40m²) suit the 20-40m² kit; bigger than 40m², call us. Coverage varies with concrete porosity.
How tough is it?
Resists hot tyre pick-up, oil, chemicals and abrasion. Built for garages, workshops, sheds and high-traffic concrete.
DIY vs professional
A professionally installed garage floor typically costs thousands more for the same finish. This kit: from $469, one weekend of your time.
